Why This Website Exists
I'm tired of super flashy websites where the content is buried under animations, pop-ups, cookie banners, and ten different tracking scripts.
I believe we need to go back to the basics and re-learn how to build websites that are:
- Clear
- Accessible
- Straight to the point
This website is a tiny protest against the bloated, over-engineered web.
Welcome Back to 1995
When you land here, I want you to feel like you've stepped into the internet of 1995:
- No dark patterns.
- No infinite scroll.
- No “accept all cookies” walls.
- Just text, links, and ideas.
If this page loads fast and feels a bit nostalgic, it's working as intended.
What This Project Stands For
This site is built on a few simple principles:
- Simplicity: If it doesn't need to be here, it isn't.
- Accessibility: Content first, decoration second (or never).
- Lightweight: Your browser and bandwidth deserve respect.
- Functionality over complexity: A working idea beats a shiny toy.
What This Site Is
This project is a mix of:
- Experiment: How far can we go with just HTML?
- Statement: A quiet "no, thanks" to bloated design.
- Personal Blog: A place to write about tech, the web, and whatever else fits.
What I Hope You Get From This
After reading this manifesto, I hope you leave with:
- Curiosity: Could you build something simpler too?
- A Laugh: Because yes, this really is just HTML.
- A Challenge: To rethink what “modern” web standards should serve: frameworks or people?
If this page made you pause, smile, or rethink your next UI decision, it has done its job.
Where to Next?
From here, I'll be adding plain HTML articles about tech, the web, and anything that fits this philosophy.
There will be no fancy layout, no tracking, and no fireworks. Just words, links, and ideas - like it used to be.
